There are some things you want to be mindful of when making your smoothies. You want to make sure you're mixing up your ingredients as much as possible. 

You want to focus on fiber, protein and healthy fats. 

Now for the don'ts.. You don't want to overdo the fruits, forget about calorie intake or skip meals..  Skipping meals will only slow down your metabolism because your body thinks it's starving so it starts to preserve energy. 

Then the next time you go to eat, your metabolism is slow allowing those ingredients you just ate turn into fat. 

Meal skipping is fine on a cleanse but that is only for a max up to 7 days. Anything longer than that can be unhealthy and harm you.

One last thing,

 After you do your smoothie detox don't over do your solid food intake the first day back. Ease your way back into it. It can cause some stomach issues since your gut is freshly cleansed.

Let's just be real, there are going to be days when you feel like eating some junk food. 

The thing is to accept that yes you will eat some junk food and that's okay. What's not okay is if you continue to eat it.

Exercising on The Smoothie Diet 

The big question I get a lot.. Do I have to workout while doing a smoothie diet.. The answer is yes. Not because you won't lose weight if you don't but because it will only make the results better. 

It's going to improve your overall health so why not just do it?  I'm not saying you need to run out and sign up for the gym. There are lots of ways for you to exercise..  You should try to aim for 20 minutes of exercise at least 3 times a week..

Sets, Reps & Rest 

When you're working out with weights or doing bodyweight exercise you should know how many sets, reps and seconds you need to rest between sets.. I would follow something like this for those types of workouts. 

Working Out With Weights: I would do 3-4 sets doing 10-15 reps per set and resting 1-2 minutes in between sets.

Doing Bodyweight Exercises: I would do 5-10 sets doing as many reps as you can per set and resting 2-3 minutes in between sets.

Workout Schedule & Recovery 

Make sure you're taking time to recover if you decide to start exercising.. As always you should always talk to a doctor before starting a new workout routine. I mentioned earlier I would try and workout 3 days a week for 20-40 minutes.. 

Try  something like Monday, Wednesday, Friday.. This would allow rest between days so you could recover and not burn out...  The more you exercise while doing the fruit smoothie diet the more weight your going to lose.
